Shape the future of digital learning as a Learning Technology Manager at Vertage
How can technology and AI transform the way people learn, develop and work? Do you enjoy combining technical expertise with strategic thinking, while staying close to the tools and solutions that make a real difference? Then this could be your next challenge. As a Learning Technology Manager at Vertage, you'll take ownership of our global learning technology environment and help shape how we use digital learning, AI and automation across the organisation. From developing our LMS and improving digital learning experiences to introducing new technologies, you'll turn business needs into practical solutions that support colleagues worldwide.
You'll join our Global Learning & Development team, working closely with Technology and stakeholders across the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys setting direction but isn't afraid to get hands-on. You'll have the opportunity to influence our learning technology roadmap, lead improvements and help us make better use of the platforms and technologies already available.
Good to know before applying
This is a hybrid role based in the UK or the Netherlands, with approximately one or two days per week in the office. You'll work with colleagues across our global organisation, including teams in the UK, Europe and the US.
Your impact as a Learning Technology Manager
As a Learning Technology Manager, you'll be responsible for the development, performance and continuous improvement of our learning technology environment. You'll oversee our LMS, SAP Litmos KnowHow, and its connections with other platforms, ensuring our systems work effectively together and provide a consistent, accessible learning experience.
Alongside platform ownership, you'll play an important role in bringing AI and automation into our learning environment. You'll identify opportunities, test new approaches and translate technical possibilities into solutions that colleagues can use in practice. From improving learning pathways and digital content to simplifying workflows and strengthening reporting, your focus will be on making learning more effective and scalable.
You'll also guide digital learning delivery, collaborate with specialist colleagues and external suppliers, and help stakeholders understand how technology can support their learning and business objectives.
What will you do as a Learning Technology Manager?
Within Vertage, you'll combine ownership of our learning technology roadmap with hands-on technical delivery. You'll work across Learning & Development, Technology and the wider business to improve existing platforms, introduce new capabilities and drive the adoption of digital learning solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Owning and developing our learning technology roadmap, translating business requirements and learning priorities into practical improvements and projects;
Managing and optimising our LMS, SAP Litmos KnowHow, including platform configuration, permissions, learning pathways, reporting and integrations with systems such as Workday and Coaching Culture;
Improving the digital learning experience by making platforms, content and learning resources easier to access, navigate and use, supported by relevant learning data and insights;
Working hands-on with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs and single sign-on (SSO), collaborating with technical specialists to troubleshoot issues and improve integrations;
Guiding the development of engaging digital learning content, working with our Digital Learning Designer and using tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia and AI-enabled content solutions;
Identifying and implementing practical AI and automation opportunities using tools such as Claude Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot and Power Automate to improve learning delivery and internal workflows;
Leading cross-functional initiatives, supporting specialist resources and managing suppliers, licences and budgets while building stakeholder engagement and encouraging the adoption of new technologies.
About Vertage
At Vertage, we connect organisations with external professionals and support workforce solutions across the public and private sectors. Operating in an international environment means our colleagues need access to effective, scalable learning solutions that support their development and help them succeed in their roles. You'll work with colleagues from different disciplines and markets, influence how our learning platforms evolve and contribute to the wider adoption of AI, automation and digital innovation.
You're someone who combines technical knowledge with a practical, solution-oriented mindset. You understand how learning technology can support organisational goals, but you're equally comfortable exploring a platform, solving an integration issue or testing a new AI application. You know how to balance long-term improvements with day-to-day priorities and can bring different stakeholders along in the process.
